Comparative analysis of gender identity and gender mentality

The article presents a comparative analysis of the concepts of “gender identity” and “gender mentality”. It is revealed that the concept of “gender identity” is more relevant to the subject sociocultural reality and more precisely in content, this concept is more developed in connection with modern science, while the concept of “gender mentality” is a relatively new and not yet sufficiently developed in scientific terms concept. Therefore, studies in which the analysis of this concept would be presented are not so often found in modern literature. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to consider differences regarding the depth of the conceptual development of the concept of “gender mentality” and “gender identity”. Thus, the purpose of the work is the disclosure of the content (features) of the definitions of the categories of “gender identity” and “gender mentality”.
