the article considers the leading role of the precinct police Commissioner in the prevention of crimes and offenses. Professional success of a district police officer depends on psychological and pedagogical knowledge. The ways of improvement of professional training of police officers are revealed. On the basis of actual problems the conclusion about the need to improve the psychological training of the precinct service is made.
