Psychological prevention of addictive behavior of adolescents by means of group counseling

In the article the analysis of Russian and foreign literature is provided, scientific insights into the scope of the term «addictive behavior of adolescents» are compiled, mechanisms of addictive behavior occurrence and psychological characteristics of adolescents with addictive forms of behavior are highlighted. The authors pay particular attention to the analysis of Russian and world literature sources on the problem of psychological prevention of addictive behavior of adolescents. The concept «psychological prevention of addictive behavior of adolescents» is revealed, the principles and objectives of preventive work with adolescents prone to addictive behavior are defined. The authors of the article focus on the content and effectiveness of the application of the programme aimed at psychological prevention of predisposition of adolescents to addictive behavior by means of group form of psychological counseling. The authors present progress in the experimental work on the study of predisposition of adolescents to addictive behavior. In the article the results of testing of the developed psychological programme are contained and the effectiveness of group counseling of adolescents in order to prevent their addictive behavior is proved.
