The contradistinction of “professionalism” and “dilettantism” as a factor of creativity in cultural discussions of the end of the XIX century

In article analyzed short history of emergence and development (during 19th century) the notion of "dilettantism", as an alternative of the notion of "professionalism". Shown, that philosophical basis the notion of "dilettantism" appeared in Germans romanticism of the beginnings of the XIXth century. Scientists-romanticist tried to find a new approach to research of human nature and world around. Hereinafter ideas of romanticism was transformed in the notion of "dilettantism" as a way of life and creativity of a certain part of intellectual elite. At the end of XIXth century, during the "decadence" period, the notion of "dilettantism" united with the symbolism in aspiration of the creative elite to escape into imaginary world.
