Necessity and chance: philosophical tradition of understanding

This article is aimed at revealing determinacy of the relations of necessity and eventuality, which can be pretty common and specific in the modern, rapidly changing society. Understanding the philosophical categories of necessity and chance can be traced from antiquity and has not lost its relevance to the present moment. The genesis of categories of necessity and chance is traced, the differences of correlated concepts stand out, as well as the main characteristics and patterns. Depending on the idea prevailing in a certain epoch, the view of concepts changes. The article traces the study of basic concepts and attitudes in science and social cognition. The genesis of the categories of necessity and chance is traced, the distinctions of correlated concepts are distinguished, as well as the main characteristics and regularities. The role of these concepts also undergoes changes depending on the time, the specifics and the goal.
