The article is devoted to the analysis of the value content of ethnic culture as the most important identification resource of society. The article discusses the features of the psychological warehouse of the ethnic group, forming in ethnic culture. The importance of preserving ethnic traditions that preserve the symbols of collective identity is indicated. The author analyzes the phenomenon of the Great Victory, the internal organization of which allows to maintain a significant cultural, social and spiritual “code”, thanks to which this event remains in the people’s memory.
