The article deals with the official websites of cultural institutions as objects of verification of compliance of their content with the requirements of Russian legislation. Criteria and indicators for the audit of the content of official websites of cultural institutions are given. The obtained results can be used in the creation and modernization of the cultural sites, as well as in the development of an internal audit plan for the site of the cultural institution.
