The concept of motivationalneed sphere of personality in psychological research

The article reviews the main research on the topic of motivational-need sphere of a person. In the historical perspective, the existing theories of motivation of foreign and Russian researchers are considered. The characteristic of such concepts as motive, motivation and motivational sphere of personality is given. The emphasis is placed on the need for further research of the motivational - need sphere of the individual in the changing value system of modern society.
