We analyzed 10 dialogues of children aged 4 to 5 years during free time games and 10 adult dialogues during free time interaction in lecture’s breaks. The study shows that subsequent dialogue progress occurs in illocutive dependent communication steps during interlocutors’ speech interaction. It breaks when illocutive independent communication steps and communication initiative are realized. Different kinds of communication initiative and further transformations of speech interaction are described.
