The article analyzes the concept "happiness", which is basic for Russian culture, based on the material of modern literature. The author reveals the traditional connotations of the concept and explores their semantics in the artistic work of contemporary writers. The relevance of the problem of concept representation is substantiated by the problems of finding cultural identity.
