Features of emotional and assessment component of the image of "successful personality" in women with different level of psychological adaptation

In modern conditions of socio-cultural transformation of society, interest in issues of the content of ideas and attitude to the image of success, its functional role in the psychological adaptation of a person to new standards of life is growing. In this regard, the relevance of the study of the relationship between the content of the image of "success" in the self-concept with the level of psychological adaptation of women. The work is based on the conceptual representations of A.A. Nalchajyan on the adaptive functions of the “I-concept” and the structural organization of each I-image, consisting of cognitive and evaluative substructures, on which the understanding of the structure of the image of “success” and the hypothesis of its adaptive function were based. It was assumed that the content of the gender aspects of the image of “success” in the women's self-concept would differ in the affective (non-verbal, emotional-evaluative) component among psychologically adapted and non-adapted women of different ages and social status. In the framework of this work, the author’s methodological complex for diagnosing the content of the image of “success” was developed and tested, including projective and subjective diagnostic methods, with the help of which women with different psychological adaptations were identified and described three options for the attitude to the image of a “successful person” in terms of gender differentiation (semantic differences in women's perceptions of the success of “masculine” and “feminine”). Differences in the content of the gender aspects of the image of “success” in the emotional-evaluative (non-verbal) component among psychologically adapted and non-adapted women of different ages and social status are established. Methodological tools can be used in further studies of the role of the image of success in personal adaptation.
