It is indicated that the psychological state of a pregnant woman is determined by a combination of various factors, including physiological, social, economic, relationships within the family and a number of others. The focus is on stressful processes during pregnancy and their impact on preterm labor and low birth weight. It is concluded that seeking psychological help will help to increase the level of psychological comfort, to exclude the development of a number of determinants that can ultimately lead to the development of postpartum depression.
