The article presents a review and analysis of the main scientific studies of the psychological features of family functioning during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-2021. The problems of psychological well-being, quality of life, value systems, loneliness experiences, coping strategies in a stressful situation of people of different ages, depending on family, socio-demographic factors, determine the relevance of a comprehensive systematic approach to the psychological diagnosis of personality functioning in a family, home environment in an extreme situation of the coronavirus pandemic. Objective: to systematize and present the main results of the psychological features of the functioning of the family, persons from risk groups in the context of the coronavirus pandemic based on research published in scientific journals, proceedings and abstracts of conferences and other scientific publications. Results. The normal functioning of families was disrupted by the emergency situation, the introduction of exceptional quarantine measures, isolation of family centers and self-isolation of persons from risk groups. Changes in the main psychological characteristics of both families as a whole and family members of different ages were revealed. Studies of women, marital relations, and psychological states of the elderly during the period of self-isolation are highlighted separately. The provisions on the transformation of forms of psychological assistance to families in the conditions of the ongoing pandemic situation are presented.
