The article deals with the problem of strengthening the cultural functions of education as a sphere of humanitarian practice, which is associated with a rethinking of the content of the concept of «education», its anthropological essence. The defectiveness of the substitution of the content of education by the content of education is shown, as a result of which the subjective reality of the student is most often left out of the educational process. The productivity of anthropopractices, which contribute to the cultivation of subjectivity and self-determination in the development of the personality of students, is substantiated. The authors especially emphasize the idea that for humanitarian technologies the synergistic idea of non-linear development and the analysis of what happens at the bifurcation point (at the moment of the birth of a new quality) is of the greatest importance. At the same time, it is important to understand that humanitarian technologies are not only energy-consuming (compared, for example, with reproductive methods), but also do not guarantee the final result. There is no predestination when using them. If a person always acts predictably, then he is manageable, it is easy to manipulate him.
Keywords:humanitarianism, subjectivity, anthropological practices, culture of utility, culture of dignity, subjective reality, space of choice, self-determination.
