The article deals with the problem of the establishment of a professional relationship between the psychologist (psychotherapist) and the person with visible distinctions. The presence of a distinctive feature in one's appearance can in itself complicate the social interaction of its bearer with others, become a cause of pronounced difficulties and lead a person to the need for professional assistance of a psychologist. However, in the process of establishment and development of professional relationships with the psychologist, this peculiarity is bound to have some influence.
