Schizophrenia is one of the most important problems of modern clinical psychiatry. While there is a large number of studies abroad on the problem of measuring social anxiety, in Russia they are few. The assessment of social anxiety is very important, especially in clinical conditions, since in its extreme manifestations it can lead to complete social isolation and disability of the subject. The purpose of the work is to differentiate the level of social anxiety in patients with paranoid and other forms of schizophrenia. The main method is the survey of patients on the Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale (LSAS) questionnaire, followed by statistical processing of data and formation of comparative conclusions based on the results obtained. During the calculations, the average total score of the Libowitz Social Anxiety Scale, a subscore of fear and avoidance in patients with paranoid schizophrenia, is 95% more likely than in patients with other forms of schizophrenia. Since the modern standard for the provision of psychiatric care is the complexity of the impact (a combination of clinical diagnosis with drug and psychosocial therapy), increasing the availability and quality of psychological care can make it possible to more accurately and regularly diagnose and identify such problems.
Keywords: schizophrenia; anxiety level; paranoid form; Libowitz scale; diagnostics of anxiety; sociophobia.
