The article presents the results of the study of social and clinical-psychological factors in the development of drug addiction in adolescents. The interrelation of destructive relations in the family with motivation of drug use was revealed: pseudocultural motives of use are typical for adolescents living in families with an unfavorable psychological atmosphere, in families characterized by increased conflict - submissive; in families where teenagers feel insecurity and increased anxiety - ataractic. Signs of alexithymia were also identified and its interrelation with the characteristic features of teenagers' personality was investigated. Alexithymia correlates with anxious, dysthymic, excitable and cycloid types of accentuations in which there is an amplification of those traits which directly influence the quality of interpersonal relations, leading teenagers to social isolation and to the space of addictive behavior.
