Psychological correction of student self-attachment with disorders of eating behavior

The article provides an analysis of domestic and foreign literature, summarizes scientific ideas about violations of food behavior, about connection of these violations with self-relationship at the student age. As a result of the analysis of domestic and foreign studies, it was revealed that the main causes of disorders of eating behavior at the student age are dissatisfaction with oneself and one’s appearance, as well as a low level of self-attitude and self-esteem. The authors describe the course of experimental work on the approbation of the program of psychological correction of self-attitude of students with a tendency to eating disorders. The aim of the program is to develop positive self-attitude and increase the level of self-esteem among students. It has been empirically established that students of «risk groups» are characterized by a low level of claims, an exaggerated or underestimated level of self-esteem, a low level of self-attitude on scales «self-incrimination», «self-acceptance», «self-confidence», «self-sympathy», «attitude of others» and «self-interest». The program of psychological correction of self-attitude allowed to reduce the severity of eating disorders of students.
