The role of the theory of musical art in musical empiricism

The article is devoted to questions about the role of the theory of musical art in musical empiricism, which reflect the unity of theoretical and empirical approaches in music education. The object of research is the theory of musical art. The subject of the research is the formation of musical empiricism in the process of studying the theory of musical art. Empiricism in musical art is the basis for the dialectical unity of theoretical and empirical analysis of musical and pedagogical experience, rational knowledge of the theory of musical art and the experience of musical and performing activities. The methodological issues of empirical music education are disclosed, which ensure the unity of the theoretical and empirical levels of musical art. The methods of integration of musical-theoretical knowledge, practice-oriented methods, the method of reference schemes, which provide interdisciplinary integration and continuity of musical theory and practice, knowledge and experience, are described.
