The article analyzes the foundations of B.I. Dodonov’s concept of a person’s emotional orientation using the method of philosophical hermeneutics. On the basis of the study, the disclosure of the contents of the concept, provided by B.I. Dodonov, and types of person’s emotional orientation is justified.
