Cognitive errors in women with eating disorders

The article is devoted to the study of the errors of thinking of women with eating disorders. Despite the fact that this problem is widely researched and discussed, there are some poorly understood aspects of this condition. The study revealed certain cognitive errors inherent in women with eating disorders. When comparing the severity of cognitive errors in women suffering from eating disorders and women who do not have similar problems, a statistically significant predominance of thinking errors in women with NPP was revealed. It is shown that some cognitive errors of women with eating disorders are factors that aggravate their dependence on nutrition, weight and body image issues. The results of the study can be used in therapeutic practice to work with eating disorders through helping patients in awareness and correction of thinking errors.
