Kolganov Sergey Vitalievich  (candidate of philosophy, associate Professor, Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University))

Glukhov Peter Sergeevich  (candidate of philosophy, associate Professor, Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University))

The work focuses on the present period in the development of Western civilization, which is generally characterized by the turn of the vector of spiritual culture from the cult of God to the cult of man, the human mind, and even to the cult of machine mind and virtual environment. In ancient teachings, it is impossible to separate the philosophical, religious and scientific due to their interpenetration and inseparability, and historically traditional science as a form of knowledge arose much later than other forms of gnosis. However, it is worth noting that the colossal breakthroughs in technology, in intellectual progress that occurred in the 19th and 20th centuries, at the beginning of the 21st century, we owe to science. High technologies force a person to move the field of his attention and more and more activities from the real space to the virtual one. The article attempts to answer the question of what it is - the "epoch of illusions", what kind of influence fails us, and how we ended up in its power.

Keywords:Religion, virtual reality, spiritual development, metauniverse, internet.
