Why it is impossible to create a time machine

It is known that science allows time travel. In this case, first of all, they refer to K. Gödel, who found the exact cosmological solution of the Einstein field equations. It contains closed timelike curves which, despite being closed, represent possible trajectories of bodies. However, according to the authors, the conclusion of Kurt Gödel, according to which time travel is theoretically permissible, is not legitimate. At the same time, they are guided by the fact that, according to the functional concept, time, as well as space-time, are non-substantial and therefore cannot be curved. According to science, so-called "wormholes" are allowed in nature, which are consistent with the general theory of relativity, and can make it possible to travel through time. However, the time of the general theory of relativity is subjective, arising only in the human mind, and therefore "wormholes", according to the authors, do not form in nature. According to string theory, cosmic strings are infinite and form closed loops - "folds" of space-time, within which one can also travel through time. From the point of view of the authors, due to the non-substantiality of space-time, strings cannot form "folds" of space-time, within which one could travel in time. It is not possible to create a time machine for other reasons, which are discussed in the article.
