We detect the connection between the adaptation conditions’ influence to a social environment and the demonstration of one’s behavior strategy in a conflict situation. Comparative analysis of prevailing behavior strategy’s degree is held. The meaning of individual’s active position in successfully achieving the adaptation goals to a new social environment is emphasized. The aim of the study was to analyse statistical differences in the frequency of choosing behavior strategy in a conflict situation among the respondents of different social groups. The conflict regulation method emphasized by K. Thomas as “Rivalry” got a special attention. Study results showed, that individual’s active position in the process of satisfaction of personal claims, the readiness to protect one’s interests with confidence and the focus on successfully achieving personal goals are represented in the choice of corresponding behavior strategy in a conflict situation in the social group of immigrants from other cities.
