PSYCHOLOGICAL DRAMA IN CINEMA

The purpose of this article is to consider such genres of cinema as psychological drama and expressionism on the example of German cinema. It is noted that the image of the main forms of manifestation of the human personality from the point of view of action is a drama. Drama and expressionism in cinema gained their popularity by showing emotions, expressions, anxiety, indignation and everything that a person experiences inside. This conclusion is illustrated by specific examples of paintings in which the drama in the style of expressionism was really reflected and developed. The popularity of the drama is explained by the author of the rich inner world of the characters, whose experiences and feelings arouse genuine interest in the audience. At the same time, the conclusion is drawn that drama in the style of expressionism at the present stage of development of cinema is almost never produced, however, it is this genre that is the basis of the global film industry and finds its manifestations in one or another picture. Expressionism is evaluated very positively due to the fact that it emphasizes the feelings and emotions of the hero, creates the necessary environment to reflect the spectrum of his experience. The author states that today all genres of cinema are gaining wide popularity in the world, but the drama occupies a special place in the global film industry. Against this background, the genre of drama and expressionism laid the foundation for most other genres of cinema and made it possible to create absolute masterpieces that act as the basis for the emergence of new genres and individual films.
