The article deals with the problem of suicidal behavior of children and adolescents in modern conditions in general and regional aspects. The social and biological factors influencing the formation of suicidal behavior are highlighted. The results of a retrospective analysis of postmortem forensic psychological and psychiatric examinations of completed suicides of children and adolescents in the Republic of Buryatia over a five-year period are discussed. Social predictors and the leading role of intra-family conflicts in the formation of suicidal behavior in children and adolescents in the studied contingent have been established. A clinical observation of a completed suicide and a teenager with a depressive disorder is given. It is concluded that to analyze the problem of suicide in children and adolescents, a comprehensive assessment of clinical, biological and social factors is necessary.
