The relevance of the study of scientific creativity is substantiated. The main provisions in scientific activity are highlighted. Difficulties in the study are analyzed and identified. It is noted that the emergence of new discoveries in science depends on three main factors: on the general level of development of science, on social conditions, social needs, the need for their appearance, and the creative personality of a scientist is of particular importance. The main characteristics of the scientist's creative personality are considered. The necessity of a specific historical approach, social order in evaluating the results of scientific creativity on the examples of premature and belated discoveries in science is emphasized. This is a certain novelty of this work. Finally, conclusions and recommendations are presented.
