The aim of the present study is to outline the psychological determinants influencing the development of a musician-performer's personality in the conditions of modernity. The material basis of the research was made by the following authors: S.L. Rubinstein, V.I. Petrushin, L.V. Zankov, B.M. Teplov, A.V. Toropova and others. As a result the following conclusions are made. Musicality is the ability of the performer through which he perceives and sees the world "musically", which includes the following psychological determinants: cognitive processes and individual psychological properties of personality. Cognitive processes include: attention, sensation, perception, memory, thinking, imagination. To individual-psychological properties of the personality are inclinations and abilities of a personality.
