STYLISTIC DEVICE "METAPHOR" IN ART AND GRAPHICS

This article is devoted to the study of the stylistic trope "metaphor" in art and graphics, as one of the means of figurative representation of reality in artistic terms. Metaphor is defined as a hidden comparison carried out by applying the name of one object to the second and thus revealing some important feature of the second. Metaphor serves not only as a name, it accompanies human thinking and makes the author's creative thought accessible to other people. Art is thinking in images, and in order to create the most vivid, expressive image, it is necessary to be able to use various stylistic devices. Modern artists actively use metaphor in their works; the metaphor in hieroglyphic writing (Asian and ancient Egyptian) is also interesting.
