This article explores various psychotechnologies for detecting the substitution of values. The author begins by introducing the concept of values and the potential negative consequences of value substitution. The article then discusses four psychotechnologies that can be used to detect value substitution: the Implicit Association Test (IAT), Cognitive Dissonance Theory, Value Clarification Exercises, and Self-Reflection. The author describes the materials and methods used to explore each psychotechnology, including IAT testing, analysis of Cognitive Dissonance Theory literature, completion of Value Clarification Exercise worksheets, and engagement in Self-Reflection prompts. The article concludes by summarizing the findings of the study and emphasizing the importance of detecting and addressing value substitution. Overall, this article provides valuable insights into the detection of value substitution and offers practical psychotechnologies that can promote self-awareness and personal growth.
