The main task of an educational psychologist who carries out professional activity in a special school is socialization and adaptation of students with mental retardation. These processes become more complicated due to emotional disadvantage. Adolescents with mild intellectual disabilities are under the risk: a large number of students shows signs of anxiety and depression. In this article there are results of application of the emotional disadvantage correction program in adolescents with mental retardation of mild degree using special school conditions.
