The article presents an overview of the foreign scientific publications on customer interaction. New mechanisms were identified and characterized that allow the client to engage in communication with the seller in a new digital reality: online services; automated data collection and processing; product branding; mobile applications; loyalty programs and discount coupons; uniting customers into social communities of companies; newsletters; gamification; advertising templates; targeted advertising, storytelling. Trends changing the format of communication with the consumer were identified.
