PHILOSOPHICAL ASPECT OF THE FORMATION OF THE TRADITIONAL MODEL OF ORTHODOX MONASTERIES

The article deals with the traditional model of an Orthodox monastery. The main functions of the monastery and their role in the development of society are revealed. The philosophical aspects of the structure of the traditional model of the monastery, inextricably linked with deep spirituality through the service of novices to God, are considered. An analysis is made of the role of Orthodox monasteries in all major spheres of society, including economic and cultural ones. The role of the historical monastery in the formation of the historical and modern urban environment and the transformation of this role with the growth and development of the city are considered in detail.
