The article considers the issue of the emergence of high-class scientific and technical specialists, without whom there would be no astronauts or the creation of rockets, without which cosmonautics is unthinkable - about people whose labor feat sometimes remained nameless - outstanding scientists and design engineers of the rocket space industry. Nowadays, many countries have their own space programs. In the middle of the 20th century, the main competing powers in this area were the USSR and the USA The article analyzes the moral and philosophical basis for the formation of the scientific and technical elite, the historical context, which was a powerful incentive for the development of the rocket space industry, the biographical data of people whose talent and knowledge paved the way into space for all mankind.
