INDEX SIGNS OF ELITE MUSICAL CULTURE OF THE XX-XXI CENTURIES

The article deals with signs-signs, as well as the phenomenon of index connotation of iconic and kinetic signs that have developed in the sphere of elite musical culture by the XX-XXI centuries. Analyzing the issues of their specificity, the author pays special attention to the functional metamorphoses, transcultural and pragmatic aspects of their use in the culture of the designated historical period, which are reflected in the visual significance of color, clothing style, and kinetic features of behavior, manner of performance of musicians of different directions on stage. The author suggests that the index signs of elite musical culture also include the specifics of the rhythmic organization of European music, as well as the cultivation of the melody's cantilence characteristic of it as a sign distinguishing it from the rhythm-centered forms of non-European musical thinking. The conclusions of the study contain the conclusion that the index signs of the elite musical culture of the XX-XXIV centuries are read in modern times.
