ABOUT THE PREREQUISITES TO THE SUBSTITUTION OF TRADITIONAL SPIRITUAL AND MORAL VALUES AND WAYS TO COUNTER THIS

As a result of a partial substitution of moral principles in the minds of a significant part of Russian citizens, there was a loss of fundamental life guidelines. Thus, the current state of the family institution in the Russian Federation is assessed by experts as unsatisfactory, in connection with this, more and more representatives of society are losing the basis for preserving traditional spiritual and moral values. Some people have chosen for themselves the path of achieving exclusively material benefits, while others have "gone" to endless spiritual quests. The situation in Russia and in the world is assessed as requiring the adoption of urgent measures to protect these principles. This explains the relevance of this article. The paper analyzes the causes of current challenges in this area, gives reasoning about the components of the human personality, which are the basis for the manifestation of moral values, notes the importance of the family institution, formulates ideas about the current role of religious institutions in the lives of citizens, studied the legal acts of the Russian Federation in this subject area, additions and clarifications of individual concepts are given, the inextricable connection of some moral values with others is noted, recommendations are given for their implementation in the life of society, and proposals are formulated for the protection of traditional spiritual and moral values and their strengthening in Russian society.
