DIGITAL ART IN MODERN CULTURE

In the XXI century, the processes of digitalization are proceeding at a rapid pace. They touched not only the world of business, but also management, industry, agriculture, medicine. In various spheres of human activity, it is necessary to store, process, and transmit information. Cultural institutions such as archives, libraries, and museums have actively joined the process of digitalization. In this article, the authors consider the current position of digital art in the cultural development of modern society, the possibilities of virtual and augmented reality technologies, NFT for the development of art. The authors of the study aim to identify the mutual influence of art and society; to determine the scale of the phenomenon of digital art that has "penetrated" into classical museums and galleries, its interrelationships with traditional forms of art.
