ABOUT THE DESIRE OF A THEATRICAL HUMAN BEING TO «BE THE OTHER» (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE ANALYSIS OF N. EVREINOV'S WORK «THE DEMON OF THEATRICALITY»)

Everyday theatricality is interpreted by the author as a complex self-organizing mechanism of human adaptation to external and internal challenges; as an element of the mental nature of a person with a pronounced social, communicative, socio-cultural orientation. Among the supposed traits inherent in theatrical human behavior, the desire to «be the other» is of particular interest as a constituent element of the «dramatic» escapism of theatricality. N. Evreinov's work «The Demon of Theatricality» is taken as an axial research work, starting from which the author tries to comprehend the specifics of presenting himself to «others». The scientific task involves the search and comprehension of both the content and the functional specifics of the desire to «be the other» in the behavior of a theatrical human being.
