A STUDY OF YOUNG PEOPLE'S LONELINESS AND THE RELATIONSHIP WITH PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING

The article discusses the main aspects of conducting the experimental part of the study of living alone by young people. The interpretation of loneliness is based on the definition given by Perlman, which notes both the qualitative and quantitative components of loneliness. Thus, it is emphasized that the experience of loneliness can occur in young people for whom outwardly everything looks good with a lot of contacts, but their quality, depth, and trust in relationships are not sufficient, which leads to an almost identical experience of loneliness as in the case of a lack of social contacts. It is noted that the problem of loneliness in young people has serious consequences in the future for mental and physical health.
