THE VALUES OF POLICE OFFICERS IN THEIR PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES: A SOCIO-PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS

The article analyzes the concept and essence of values from the standpoint of axiological theories. The role of values for police officers in the performance of official duties is defined. The influence of values on the development of police officers as individuals on the one hand and as citizens with special social status and special working conditions on the other is considered. The national security strategy is analyzed from the point of view of legislating the directions of action of the law enforcement system for a long period of time, in which the preservation of values is one of the priorities.
