THE ROLE OF RELIGION IN RUSSIAN PHILOSOPHICAL THOUGHT: FROM ORTHODOXY TO ATHEISM

Philosophy and religion have always been an integral part of Russian culture. Russian philosophy and religion have uniquely influenced the history and culture of the country and are one of the unique national features of Russia. This article explores the influence of Russian philosophy and religion on Russian culture from various perspectives. Orthodoxy is the most important religion in Russia. Its emergence and development have influenced all aspects of Russian history and culture. Ideas and philosophy of Orthodoxy are often mentioned in Russian philosophy. Russian philosophers believe that Orthodoxy is a rational, moral, and spiritual belief that unites faith and philosophy and has become an important part of Russian culture. Orthodox symbols and morality widely appear in Russian literature, art, and philosophy and have a great influence on Russian thought. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of religion on Russian philosophical thought. Research methods: historical analysis (study of the historical context of the development of religious thought in Russia), comparative analysis, critical analysis.
