CULTURAL MEMORY AS A FACTOR IN PRESERVING THE UNITY OF RUSSIAN STATEHOOD: A RETROSPECTIVE ANALYSIS

Changes caused by social transformations and globalization processes are changing before our eyes the content and forms of transmission of cultural memory, actualizing the problem of preserving the cultural heritage of all peoples and ethnic groups as their most important contribution to the overall development of humanity. The problem of preserving cultural memory and cultural heritage is emerging more and more clearly in the public consciousness. The formation of cultural memory and the identification of cultural heritage in it in Russia has its own characteristics associated with its civilizational characteristics. Based on the identified material, the features of the cultural space of Russia, which forms cultural memory as a factor in preserving the unity of Russian statehood, are considered.
