The article examines the problematic situations that arise when implementing such bioethical principles as patient autonomy, "do no harm" (primum non nocere) and «do good» when making a clinical decision in the practice of medical care. An attempt to be guided by ethical regulations in the conditions of real medicine often encounters contradictions within the ethical principle itself. This is especially acute in the modern model of relationships built on a collegial basis: one principle conflicts with another and inevitably leads to a conflict of interests between the doctor and the patient.
Keywords:ethical principles, patient autonomy, the principle of benevolence, the principle of non-harm, conflict of interest, models of doctor-patient relationship
