The research touches upon the centuries-old history of relations between Russia and China, focusing on the key aspects of cultural interaction. Based on the analysis of historical data, the article explores how changes in the political landscape shaped the unique cultural relations between the two countries. Special attention is paid to the role of the Russian Orthodox mission, the Russian language and literature, as well as contemporary aspects of cooperation in the educational sphere and on the political arena.
