INCLUSION OF VISUALLY IMPAIRED AND BLIND VISITORS IN THE MUSEUM SPACE: THE EXPERIENCE OF RUSSIAN MUSEUMS

This scientific article explores the topic of the formation of an inclusive space in museums for visually impaired and blind visitors. Inclusion is an important principle of social justice that ensures that all members of society, including people with disabilities, have equal opportunities to participate in cultural and social life. Using museums as an environment to promote the principles of inclusion for all is becoming one of the most urgent tasks of museum activity in modern society. The article examines existing projects and initiatives aimed at creating an accessible environment for people with visual impairments based on the experience of Russian museums. The results of the study can be useful for museums and other cultural institutions that strive to make their services accessible to all visitors.
