THE STUDY OF THE CALLIGRAPHY OF THE STELE FOR THE CREATION OF STATUES OF THE FIRST YEAR OF THE REIGN OF THE NORTHERN WEI DYNASTY "JIANYI"

In this article, a study was conducted on the calligraphy of the stele to create statues of the first year of the reign of the Northern Wei Dynasty "Jianyi". The object of the study: inscriptions of statues from the Northern Wei period in Changzhi district in Shanxi, an analysis of their writing was carried out, calligraphic styles were classified, and a comparison with other sources was carried out. Shanxi, as the main area of ethnic and cultural integration during the reign of the Northern Wei Dynasty, played an important role in the formation and development of the Wei style. In particular, the Northern Wei regime moved its capital from Pingcheng to Luoyang, where it gained a deep understanding of the culture and customs of the Han people.
