The article defines the significance of the subject's behavioral features in the occurrence and course of stuttering. The purpose of the study was to determine the factor of communication success for stutterers with different individual behavioral styles. The article presents an analysis of stutterers' preferences when choosing communication partners; information on the correspondence of general and speech manifestations of an individual behavioral style in one and the same subject. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that for the first time the role of an individual behavioral style in a complex symptom complex of stuttering as a factor in the formation of successful communication of stutterers has been described. As a result, it was possible to establish that an individual behavioral style is not a factor of stuttering and does not determine its severity, at the same time it is universal for speech and non-speech behavior, and the similarity of individual behavioral styles of communication partners contributes to its success.
