This publication presents the results of the analysis of the communicative behavior of adult stutterers. The study involved 50 adult stutterers, whose communication was assessed using the following psychodiagnostic methods: the R. Erikson scale, the G. Eysenck personality questionnaire, the test for assessing the tactics of adaptive behavior, and the method for assessing the total deviation from the autonorm. The results showed that the tactics of adaptive behavior are variable, but not specific for stutterers, but knowledge about them is useful in the process of correction and training successful communication and adequate behavior in a stressful situation.
