THE STUDY OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERSONAL ANXIETY AND THE TENDENCY TO LIE

The purpose of the study is to study the relationship between personal anxiety and a tendency to lie. The objective of the study is to experimentally study the relationship between personal anxiety and a tendency to lie using lie verification and instrumental lie detector testing. The possibilities of practical application of the research results are due to the expediency of using them in various organizations when selecting personnel and working with employees of the organization. The article examines the concept of "personal anxiety" in modern psychology, describes the main aspects of anxiety, the causes of its occurrence, and what this condition is; describes the idea of the phenomenon of lying in domestic and foreign psychology; describes the relevance of the problem of the tendency to lie, as recently in the psychological sciences there has been an increasing interest in the problems of understanding the essence of truth and its antipodes – lies, deception and untruth; the classification of lies and the causes of the tendency to lie are investigated; the theoretical substantiation of the relationship between personal anxiety and the tendency to lie is made. A study of this relationship is presented, since this problem is one of the key ones in the emergence of behavior mechanisms. The author concludes that there is a certain relationship between the level of personal anxiety and lying: the higher the level of personal anxiety, the higher the probability of a tendency to lie.
