The article analyzes the socio-cultural processes of the turn of the XX-XXI centuries related to the problems of mediatization of society in the information age. The object of research is the concept of video art in the field of studying the artistic practices of Russian screen culture during its transformation. The authors consider video art as a variant of the experimental aesthetics of audiovisual creativity in the context of its interactions with cinema, television, and performance practice.
